Fattoria Pogni organizes its own wine tasting in Tuscany, Italy
Fattoria Pogni is located at almost 400 meters on the sea level and is surrounded by 28 hectares of lands. Almost 10 hectares of the total are devoted to the production of high quality wines, and the remaining are cultivated with different type of olive trees to produce a tuscan olive oil with an excellent balance of spicy and flavour. The wine production is not only based on the famous vines such as the Sangiovese and the Cabernet Sauvignon, but also on the cultivation of native vines such as Canaiolo, Trebbiano, Colorino and Malvasia of Chianti. The wine company is located on the hills next to the ancient town of Marcialla, halfway between Florence and Siena. A quality cared since the time of the so-called green vintage, up to the refinement in bottle, passing through the various productive processes that mix, at Farm Pogni, the ancient handicraft processes with the most modern and exclusive productive methodologies. The wines of Fattoria Pogni are countersigned by the will of the owners to realize wines of excellent quality even though at a loss of a lower quantity of wine. To reach these results has been built the new wine cellar for the wine-making endowed with barrels of inox having the temperature automatic control and with fittings of repassing and pressing of the marc. The wines' aging, rigorously effected in barriques and tonneaux of French Oak, and the following refinement in bottle, are realized in the ancient wine cellars dug in the tuff where still nowadays you may view some centuries old tools.
